UIDAI has extended the deadline for free updates of Aadhaar details till 14th December 2024. The free update service is only available on the myAadhaar portal.
You can update your date of birth on your Aadhaar card in two ways: online and offline.
You can change your date of birth online by visiting the official website of UIDAI.
Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number, and captcha code and click on ‘Send OTP’.
You will receive the OTP on your registered mobile number with your Aadhaar. Enter the OTP and log in to your Aadhaar account.
In the Services section, click ‘Update Aadhaar Online’ to make changes to your date of birth.
Click on ‘Proceed to update Aadhaar’ on the following page.
Select the Aadhaar details you wish to update, in this case, your Date of Birth.
To change your date of birth, you need to upload a scanned copy of a valid supporting document consisting of your name and date of birth.
Upload the supporting document and pay the online update fee of Rs. 50 using debit/credit card or net banking. The amount is non-refundable. If the payment fails, you can retry it.
However, the official site sometimes malfunctions due to back-end issues, making Aadhar Card date of birth change online with mobile number difficult. You can opt for the offline method in this case.
To make changes in your Aadhaar card, offline, you must visit the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra
There, you must fill in the Aadhaar enrolment correction form. Enter the updated details in the form and not the details in your old Aadhaar card
Submit proof of DOB along with the correction form. You can submit an Indian passport, mark sheet/ certificate issued by a recognized board of education or university, pensioner identity card, and more as proof of DOB.
