Methods to Generate Central Bank ATM PIN

Customers of Central Bank, after opening a savings or current account, must create an ATM PIN of 4 digits that activates the debit card. Currently, there are three methods for Central Bank ATM PIN generation:

Creation of Central Bank Debit Card PIN through ATM

Simple and assured, the generation of the ATM PIN at a Central Bank ATM is achievable for customers without online banking. Here's how it's done:

Step 1: Visit any Central Bank ATM near you.

Step 2: Simply place your debit card and select the ‘PIN Generation’ option from the option menu.

Step 3: Select the ‘Create/Change PIN’ option.

Step 4: A One-Time Password shall be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and click on ‘Proceed’.

Step 5: Enter the desired 4-digit PIN for your debit card. Type the same PIN again

Step 6: You will be prompted to submit. Your PIN will be generated.

You will receive a confirmation SMS with a successful generation of PIN as follows in your registered mobile number after creating the PIN.

How to Generate a Central Bank Debit Card PIN via Internet Banking?

For the convenience of online banking customers, the Central Bank of India has enabled debit cardholders to generate their PIN through the Internet Banking portal. The steps are mentioned below: 

Step 1: Log in to the Central Bank's internet banking portal using your username and password.

Step 2: On the dashboard, click ‘My Card PIN’ in the top left-hand corner.

Step 3: Now, in the ‘Debit Card PIN’, click on ‘Create PIN’.

Step 4: Then select an account with which the debit card is associated and enter the CVV of the card's 3-digit number on the back.

Step 5: Confirm your registered mobile number by clicking on the ‘Submit’ button.

Step 6: The OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number. Once the OTP is received, enter it to continue.

Step 7: Create a new 4-digit PIN for the Debit Card. Re-enter the PIN to confirm it as well.

Step 8: Once you complete all this click on ‘Generate Now’, so your debit card PIN gets generated successfully. You will get an SMS on your mobile that the PIN has been generated successfully.

Central Bank of India ATM PIN Generation through Mobile Banking

You can easily generate or reset your debit card PIN directly from the mobile banking app. Here is how to generate Central Bank ATM PIN through a Mobile Banking App:

Step 1: Open the Central Bank of India mobile app for banking and log in using your user ID and password.

Step 2: From the home screen, click on ‘Services’ at the bottom.

Step 3: From the list, you click on ‘Card Services’.

Step 4: On this page, click on ‘Create Debit Card PIN’.

Step 5: Select an account number for the debit card and enter the CVV number of the card.

Step 6: Enter the desired 4-digit PIN you wish to create and confirm.

Step 7: Click on the ‘Submit’ button.

Central Bank will send a confirmation SMS to your registered mobile number once the PIN is successfully generated.
