How to Download Aadhaar Card by Name and Date of Birth

Downloading your Aadhaar card using your name and date of birth is very simple. Follow these steps to obtain your e-Aadhaar:

Step 1: Visit the official UIDAI website. 

Step 2:  On the home page, locate and click on the ‘Download Aadhaar’ tab under the ‘My Aadhaar’ sub-heading at the center-top part of the page. 

Step 3: Select ‘Aadhaar Number’ or ‘Enrollment ID’.There are two choices you may continue with. If you do not have an Aadhaar number, go to ‘Reprint of lost or forgotten EID/UID’ to search for your Aadhaar number with your name & date of birth. 

Step 4: Next, you should provide your first and last name, date of birth, registered mobile number, and the security code visible on the screen. 

Step 5: Enter the OTP you receive on your registered mobile number. 

Step 6: You will get the link to download your e-Aadhaar and e-Aadhaar Card.  Click the link, input the password – the first letters of your first and last name capitalized and your birth year in the format of the four-digit number, and download the PDF.  

How to Change Aadhaar Card Date of Birth?

Here is how to change the date of birth on your Aadhaar card:

Step 1: Go to the center through the UIDAI website to find the nearest Aadhaar Enrollment Centre. 

Step 2: Fill in the ‘Aadhaar Correction Form’, for which the original copy is available at the center. 

Step 3: Provide genuine documents to support your age, that is, your date of birth. Acceptable documents include the birth certificate, passport, or SSLC certificate.

Step 4: The center will then capture your fingerprints and take your picture for identification.

Step 5: Once you submit the form and the documents, an acknowledgment slip containing an Update Request Number(URN) will be issued to enable you to monitor the progress of the update. 

Step 6: To know the status of the Update request made to the UIDAI website, you can use the URN provided.

Step 1: Take a generation kit from the nearest Aadhaar Enrollment Center.

Step 4: The center will use a biometric scan for security purposes.

Step 2: Navigate to ‘Aadhaar Services’ → ‘Retrieve Aadhaar’.

Step 4: You will receive a one-time password on the mobile number registered with the account. Type in the OTP to continue.
