Here are a few more ways you can find out the expiry date of your bike’s insurance policy:
Check your policy document. Your policy document will have details on the validity of the insurance.
Contact the insurance provider. You can contact your insurance provider by calling customer care or by emailing them to get details of your policy.
SMS and email reminders. Insurance providers usually send email or SMS reminders before your policy expires.
Staying on top of your insurance details is important as driving without third-party insurance can attract a penalty of Rs.2,000 or even imprisonment.
Sometimes your vehicle insurance is purchased on your behalf by the dealership where you bought the motorcycle. In such cases where you are not sure about the details of the insurance, you can use the Parivahan portal to find the expiry date.
If you are looking to buy or renew your bike insurance, use the Moneyview website or app to get quotes from top insurers.
