A credit card PIN makes sure that only an authorized person can use the card. The PIN is only known to the cardholder. The four-digit code is required to conduct point-of-sale (POS) payments in stores and to withdraw cash from ATMs.
You can generate a PIN for your SBI credit card through an ATM, or numerous online methods. In this guide, we will look at the various ways you can generate, change, or reset your SBI credit card PIN.
Generating a PIN for your SBI credit card is a straightforward process. You can do it by visiting your nearest SBI ATM or online without leaving your house at all.
To generate a PIN for your SBI credit card, visit your nearest SBI ATM and follow these steps:
Step 1: Insert your credit card, and choose your preferred language.
Step 2: Select “Create PIN Using OTP”.
Step 3: You will receive an OTP on the registered mobile number. Enter the OTP.
Step 4: Enter a new four-digit PIN of your choice.
Step 5: Re-enter the new PIN to confirm and click “Continue”.
Your new PIN will have successfully been created.

Follow these instructions to generate a new PIN for your SBI credit card through Net Banking:
Step 1: Go to the SBI Credit Card login page.
Step 2: Click on “My Account” and select “Manage PIN”.
Step 3: Select the credit card for which you want to generate the PIN.
Step 4: Click on Generate “OTP”.
Step 5: Enter the OTP you receive on the registered mobile number.
Step 6: Enter the new PIN, then re-enter it in the next field.
Step 7: Click on “Update PIN” to confirm.
The new PIN will be generated after step 7.
To generate a PIN through IVR just follow these simple steps:
Step 1: Call the SBI Card Customer Helpline at 1860 180 1290 or 39 02 02 02 (prefix local STD code).
Step 2: Select the option to generate a PIN by dialing “6”.
Step 3: Enter the 16-digit card number, your date of birth in DD/MM/YYYY format, and the card’s expiry date in MM/YY format.
Step 4: You will receive an OTP on the registered number or email address. Enter the OTP to continue.
Step 5: Enter the new 4-digit PIN and re-enter it to confirm.
After step 5 you will get a confirmation message on the IVR.
You can also use the ILA chatbot to generate a credit card PIN in a few steps.
Step 1: Go to SBI Card and open the ILA chatbot.
Step 2: In the chatbox click on “Login” and enter your credentials to log in.
Step 3: Once you are logged in, enter “How do I generate the transaction PIN for my credit card?” in the chatbox.
Step 4: Click on “Update PIN”. You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number.
Step 5: Enter the OTP and click the “Submit” button.
Step 6: Enter the new PIN and re-enter it to confirm.
Step 7: Click on “Update PIN” to complete the PIN generation process.
You can also generate a credit card PIN by sending an SMS. Simply follow the instructions below:
Send an SMS in the following format from your registered mobile number to 567676.
CCPIN XXXX
Replace XXXX with the last four digits of your credit card.
Changing your credit card PIN regularly is recommended to enhance security and prevent fraud. Let us look at the ways you can change your credit card PIN.
Visit the nearest SBI ATM and follow this simple process to change your credit card PIN::
Step 1: Insert the credit card, and select the language you prefer.
Step 2: Enter the credit card PIN.
Step 3: Select the “Change PIN” option.
Step 4: Enter a new 4-digit PIN, and re-enter the PIN to confirm.
Once the request is processed you will receive a confirmation notification.
You can also change your SBI credit card PIN from your net banking account. Just follow these simple instructions:
Step 1: Go to the SBI Card website and log in to your account.
Step 2: In the “Credit Cards” menu click on “Change PIN”.
Step 3: Enter the new four-digit PIN and click on “Confirm”. You will then receive an OTP.
Step 4: Enter the OTP and click “Confirm".
Once the processing is done you will get a notification confirming the PIN change.
You can change your credit card PIN by going to the SBI Cards section of the YONO mobile app and following these steps:
Step 1: Tap “Change PIN”.
Step 2: Choose the card for which you want to change the PIN.
Step 3: Tap “Generate OTP”.
Step 4: You will receive an OTP on the registered mobile number.
Step 5: Enter the new PIN, and re-enter to confirm.
Step 6: Tap “Submit” to set the new PIN.
