There are several ways to generate ATM PINs for Bank of India debit cards. The methods are listed below:

While most of these require visiting a nearby Bank of India ATM, PIN generation can be done through the mobile banking app from home. 

Steps to Generate Bank of India ATM PIN via Mobile Banking App

Bank of India provides a convenient and intuitive mobile banking app which makes a lot of their services accessible from your mobile phone. You can generate a new PIN for your Bank of India debit card by following these steps:

Step 1: Log in to the “BOI Mobile” app with your credentials.

Step 2: Tap on the “Card Services” icon in the menu.

Step 3: Tap on the “Debit Card Services” option.

Step 4: Select your account number from the dropdown menu.

Step 5: Tap on the debit card number that appears on the screen. The last four digits of the card will be visible.

Step 6: Tap on “Generate / Reset PIN”.

Step 7: Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number and tap on the “Verify” button.

Step 8: Enter your new four-digit PIN, confirm it, and tap on the “Submit” button.

Step 9: Enter your Transaction Password which was created when you registered for Mobile Banking.

Once you have completed the above steps, you will have successfully activated your BOI debit card.

Generate ATM PIN through Bank of India ATM

If you just got a new Bank of India debit card and wish to activate it or just want to create a new PIN, you can do so by going to the nearest Bank of India ATM and following the below-mentioned steps:

Step 1: Go to any Bank of India ATM.

Step 2: Insert the debit card, remove it, and select your desired language.

Step 3: Select the option “(Forgot / Create PIN) Green PIN.”

Step 4: On the next screen select the option “Generate OTP.”

A 6-digit OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.

Step 5: Reinsert the debit card and remove it.

Step 6: Select language.

Step 7: Select the option “(Forgot / Create PIN) Green PIN.”

Step 8: Select the “Validate OTP” option on the screen.

Step 9: Enter the 6-digit OTP and click on “Continue.”

Step 10: Enter a 4-digit PIN of your choice.

Step 11: Re-enter the PIN.

After completing the above steps you will have changed/created the new PIN successfully.

How to Generate Bank of India ATM PIN through Customer Care

To generate a new PIN for your Bank of India ATM card through customer care just follow these steps:

Step 1: Call the Bank of India customer care number 1800 103 1906 from your registered mobile number.

Step 2: Select the language of your choice, follow the instructions, and reach the “ATM and prepaid card services” option.

Step 3: Select the option to generate a Green PIN.

Step 4: Enter your debit card number when prompted.

Step 5: Enter the account number linked to the debit card when prompted.

Step 6: You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number. Go to a Bank of India ATM to validate the OTP within 2 days to create your new PIN.

Generate Bank of India ATM PIN through SMS Banking

You can generate a new ATM PIN for your Bank of India debit card through SMS by following these steps:

Step 1: From your registered mobile number send the following SMS to 567676. 

SMS format: PIN <last 4 digits of the debit card number> <last 4 digits of your bank account number>. Eg: “PIN 1234 4567”

Step 2: You will receive an OTP which will be valid for 2 days. 

Step 3: Go to the nearest Bank of India ATM and validate the OTP to create your new PIN.

ATM PIN or Personal Identification Number is a unique 4-digit code that acts as a layer of security to prevent fraudulent transactions. 

Every debit cardholder must generate an ATM PIN at least once. When you receive a new card, you must activate it with a new PIN, and you must create a new one if you forget your old PIN.
