How to Apply for the SBI Paywave International Debit Card?

STEP-1: Log into the SBI internet banking website with your credentials.

STEP-2: Go to ‘e-Services’ → ‘ATM Card Services’ → ‘Request ATM/Debit Card’.

STEP-3: Click on ‘My Card’ and follow the instructions mentioned to apply for your card.

STEP-4: You will have to confirm your details after which the card will be delivered to your doorstep.

SBI charges Rs.250 to issue a Paywave international debit card. The annual maintenance charges are Rs.175 which needs to be paid every year after one year of the card being issued.

STEP-1: Log into the Internet banking website with your credentials.

STEP-2: Go the the ‘Main Menu’ icon on the left side.

The SBI Global and Paywave are both debit cards with slightly different features. The BSI Global requires to you enter the PIN every time you make a transaction. However, the SBI Paywave Internation Debit Card is contactless, wherein, you are not required to enter your PIN in case you purchase with this card.

The SBI Paywave can be both Visa and Mastercard. 

To know if your debit card has Paywave, read the card description. Look out for ‘Tap and Pay’, ‘Contactless’, ‘Paywave’, or ‘Paypass’ written in the description. If you see any of these words, you can confirm that your card can use Paywave.
